COD League Recap and Standings

The COD League is another win for the realm of Esports as the Toronto Ultra Home Series enters day 4. This will be another big year with major tournaments and multiple events throughout the year. Twelve teams are currently competing for the top spot n this event.

These games’ format will be where teams will compete in best-of-5 matches in 4-versus-4 battles in the game Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War. Players will able to compete with any controller that is approved by the league via PC.

Each team will be competing via double-elimination. Tournament seeding is determined by head-to-head group play matches over the course of three Home Series weeks leading up to each Major Tournament. The regular season was five stages which determined the seeding. Now it’s already stage 2.

Let’s take a look at the COD League recap and standings!

Stage 2 of the Call of Duty League’s Toronto Home Series is now in the books, and there were some dominant performances and some surprises in the event. FaZe, and OpTic emerged as the of their group. Faze is on top of Group A, while OpTic is on top in Group B.

Starting on Saturday, OpTic was able to beat Legion 3-1, the Mutineers were able to sweep the Rokkr, and the Empire was able to win against the Surge in a best of five matchups.

The Royal Ravens were able to pull off a stunning sweep against the Guerrillas. Ultra struggles as the winless streak is still going even though the team has the home-field advantage as Faze finished their night with a sweep. The Subliners were able to beat the Thieves in five games to end the weekend via a comeback.

The Atlanta Faze continue their hot streak in the tournament as they went undefeated in the regular season (10-0). They are also 2-0 in Stage 2, and no other team has gone a combined 7-3. Faze was rarely tested as they beat Ultra by earning easy wins on Garrison Hardpoint (250-143).

It should be an interesting upcoming week in Stage 2 as the top eight teams for a prize pool of 2.5 million dollars.
